As long as you get the revision it should be fine

The reason I haven't bought one is because I hear they're a big smaller than the 360 controller
I bought a USB SNES controller instead for Dpad games

My og wireless xbox one controller works fine out of the box with 7, just needs a dongle. That's a shame, having a custom coloured version would be nice.

They fixed the triggers like a year after release. The One S is much better because it has bluetooth and a headphone jack tho.

It's a nice touch, I like to use it when I'm playing games using Steam big picture on my TV at night and don't want to wake anyone up
