I have no idea why I occasionally see nostalgia for the old 360 menu. Half the screen is filled with those ugly menus. What is the point of that? When you see desktop threads, have you ever once seen someone have their taskbar expanded so it takes up their whole screen like pic related?
Of course not, just about every wants their desktop space for art or function instead of wasted space.

Hell, on PC having a large taskbar might be helpful; the Xbox's large menus do absolutely nothing for it's usability. Maybe if it was a design for a smartphone where everything needs to be bloated to be navigable, but there was no reason for it to look like that with a controller input.

I got a 360 with this for christmas. I didnt even think the game was bad besides some glitches and technical problems. I was surprised to go online and find out that everyone hated it. It still has 4 stars on amazon and the xbox store though so maybe its just shitheads on the internet who cry about everything
