because it's boring, and unlike FF2 people don't talk about how bad it is, they just don' talk about it because it's so mundane and uneventful

so if I wanted to get into the classic FF games where would be a good place to start? I've played 7, 8, part of 9, watched a friend play part of XII and another that I won't care to mention here. There's no major continuity in any of the games, is there? I could safely skip 3 and not miss out then?

Bravely default is better in every aspect
Except for the time loop it's fine at first then it gets a bit annoying

Why is there so many FF spam lately? None of these games are even good.
