It's a good game in a strange way.

As in it shouldn't be good. You're limited to a dozen or so areas constantly repeating them. Combat is literally 2 buttons.

But there's something charming about teaming up with people and traversing the levels.

Best time you'll ever have with friends-good. By yourself it's still better than it has any business being.

But yeah OP, the formula just worked. I guess it was kind of like the original version of Warframe. Classes were pretty balanced, getting a new weapon was mind-blowing, community was pretty good. And for some reason there was an extensive list of words that were censored, like "darkie" lol.

I could gush for hours about the things I love about this game. I was addicted to the point of playing just about ever iteration of it that ever came out and still jump on Ephinea from time to time. I can understand if people today trying it for the first time don't like it however.
