How do you choose what game to play when you're feeling burnt out?
A new game.
Try thinking, brainlet.
>>384863969
But how do I choose which game. I have a lot.
Take a break from games
Do something else.
>>384863927
I take a break for a couple weeks. It usually works wonders
>>384864108
>>384864121
I have nothing else to do with my life. I haven't read in years.
>>384863927
Try out shadow warrior 2. its kind of short though but the game is pretty good.Pirate it
>>384864228
I still haven't finished the first one.
>>384864209
Try going outside
>>384864209
Watch animeI recommend jojo
>>384863927
Go retro. Replay an old classic or try something you heard about but never played
>>384864403
It's 1:36 AM. I work from 1pm until 9pm most days. I'm not going outside into the forest at night.
>>384864508
Already seen Jojo. I'm watching Dragonball Super, but mainly out of morbid curiosity for how bad it's going to get.
>>384864594
Like I said, I have a big list of games. I went back to Garry's Mod for a while for some reason, but the autism is too much for me now.
>>384864108
basically this, I've been learning how to draw though right now I'm struggling for energy with both because of a chronic viral infection
but at least I'm making the effort
>>384864686
I used to draw. Haven't in years. I was never very good.
>>384863927
READ A BOOK
>>384864813
I don't really read anymore. I guess it's my depression, I dunno.
Here's my games. Help me pick something. I can repay the favor. http://steamcommunity.com/id/daretobestupid/games/?tab=all&sort=name
>>384863927
Play a game you know you enjoy. Otherwise, just wait a few days. Watch some movies. Start watching a new show.
>>384863927
Does that actually work?
>>384865714
Yeah. You'll just pass out and die a peaceful death.
>>384865714
Asking for a friend?
>>384865823
>Friend
Good one, anon.
>>384864108
This. I usually switch genres or focus on games I might not have beaten yet. Like for example: I have been playing a lot of older FPS games, so I am very burnt out on doing any FPS titles for awhile and focusing on RPGs and non-FPS multiplayer titles.
If I am burned out on games, I switch to movies and TV shows, and vice versa.
>>384863927
>100% burnt out
>dont know what to do
>brother asks if he could move the xbox hueg to a room we never use so he can watch dvd's there
>move it
>immediacy get the urge to use it
>spend the next 3 days playing ninja gaiden
From what I could tell all I needed was a change in scenery, I was simply bored of my battlestation.
>>384863927
I change genres. Recently been getting heavily into JRPGs and Rouge likes
>>384863927
Is roasting themselves alive in their ovens something people really do?
Seems like a painful way to go.
i dont fucking know. my life is going great, great marks in uni, working on projects and getting outside
but i fucking need a new mmo dopamine fix. in the past few days i've considered sucking dick on the street in the off chance some crack dealer had a sweet game suggestion. i even thought of asking my mom who doesn't own a fucking pc. fuck. i wish you could mainline dragons
>>384866018

What do you do when nothing you used to enjoy makes you feel happy anymore?
>>384863927
You really need to find another hobby and put videogames aside for a good while(months not days). If you force yourself to play vidya because it has become routine then it's only gonna get worse. You're no longer playing for fun but because you feel you have to and it only exacerbates the feeling of emptiness.
>he doesn't have a short go-to game when he don't know what to play
>>384865979
he is inhaling the gas you underaged fag
>>384866054
which part specifically are you watting about
>>384863927
When I'm feeling burnt out, I play something from the 8 or 16 bit eras. Those games are short, so they don't take much commitment. And they get to the fun stuff immediately instead of having cutscenes and tutorials.
>>384866090
Your brain thrives on novel data. Whether you're a brainlet or not.
>>384866090
Begin to consider suicide and choose the bottle as my new personal friend.
>>384866135
Why would a crack dealer have cool game suggestions? People become crack dealers because they dont play videogames in the first place.
>>384866131
FUCK SPELUNKY.
Not many games make me as angry as fucking Spelunky. I played it all the time on my 360. I'm not sure why.
>>384866132
>gas
>oven
???
>>384864508
>I recommend jojo

I've got a great MMO for you. I'm gonna need my dick sucked first, though.
How are we gonna do this?
>>384866296
You have never even boiled water in your life have you?
>>384866291
how can a comfy game make u angry?
>>384866341
You boil water in the oven?!?!?
>>384866340
behind the 7-11 i got a good spot
>>384866352
How it comfy? I just die over and over again. I've never gotten past like the 8th level.
>>384864597
You live near/in a forest? What do you do? I'd enjoy living on a forest. Would write and smoke weed most of the day. Two things I already do. Why don't you start taking photos?
>>384866429
Ok meet you there in like 20 minutes.
...you're female, right?
>>384866341
a lot of people have electric ovens/stoves you mong. in fact where i'm from they're so infrequent the only reason i knew they existed is because of that episode and when bill tried to kill himself with an electric stove on king of the hill
>>384866413
The oven is part of the stove. Maybe you have an electric one or maybe you burn wood, but many use gas.
>>384866306
This is excellent
>>384866542
>at night.
There's huge fucking spiders and bats. No thanks.
>>384866562
sure man, whatever you want.
>>384866228
I don't feel anything going out, trying to talk to people, or trying new things though. I just spend all day on 4chan, reading, or playing a couple hours of vidya at around one in the morning to drive out the bad thoughts.
>>384866569
Who has never heard of a gas stove though? The suicide by oven is even a very common suicide trope.
>>384865068
Someone just pick a game from my list, please. I'll give you a game or something.
>>384866659
Sorry that I don't obsess over suicide like you losers.
I haven't played a game in two months. I lurk here when I'm bored
>>384866590
I meant during the day. You said your from 1pm to 9pm right? What do you most mornings?
>>384866835
I normally stay up until 4am and then sleep until it's time to go to work.
>>384866753
Same. Can't sleep right now so I'm just shitposting here and there on different boards.
>>384864813
This OP.
I recommend The Lies of Locke Lamora, John Dies at the End, or the Mistborn Trilogy
>>384866926
I play a lot of games and I love to talk about them, but I spend most of my time skating or reading
>>384866908
Welp, don't know what to tell you. Exercising and having to interact with other human beings usually make want to play video games.
>>384866306
>>384864597
based jojo posters
>>384867207
I guess I'm just getting too old. I just had my 25th birthday. I can't keep up.
>>384866438
It's comfy. Pic related. My run just now between responses. Fuckin everything blends in on that gold stage!
>>384866738
Play Dragon's Dogma
And gibe game too, while you're at it
>>384867271
Add me then, faggot.
>>384867253
I turned 27 last week. I'd tell you that it gets better but that's not always so.
>>384867253
>>384867320
It's all about balance. Games are a sideshow in the circus of life, if you do nothing but play games your life will be out of balance.
>>384866090
>What do you do when nothing you used to enjoy makes you feel happy anymore?
Here's the secret wisdom of adulthood: life isn't about happiness. Buddhism goes as far as to say life is suffering and it's probably right. You've been misled to think happiness and indulgence is the primary objective by a consumer society that wants you to buy shit, and work to buy more shit.
Adulthood should be about realizing one's values to build something in the world, but we are living in a cultural decline so likely you can choose between hedonism or a behavioral sink.
>>384867253
Huh. My 25th birthday was yesterday. What are the odds eh?
>>384864775
I've been drawing for years and years, never serious though because my health has always been terribleand I'm addicted to the vidya.
I'll probably quit games soon enough since nothings enjoyable anymore. Plan on learning how to drawfurrypornso I can earn money on the side of my shitty job.
>>384867803
pretty good odds actually
>>384867803
Google 'the birthday problem,' friend
>>384864775
>>384868305
Also, I hope you pick it up again anon. Putting yourself down sucks dick and I'm a master at it since I've done it my whole life, but looking back at my old OLD shit made me realise that I'm a lot better than I thought, and I'm sure it's the same for you.
>>384868643
I'm a piece of shit though, so it's really not the same.
