If you're talking about sales, the PS3 currently sells more units than 360 and has done that since around 2010, and currently both are at around 75 million total sales each. They're tied, Wii beat em both.
If you're talking about games, the PS3 made a recovery when devs learned to develop for it around 2010 and has more variety than the 360, and better games as well.
The only people who say the 360 was better were people who bought it first and didn't get a PS3 for years or people who bought it late when the console didn't need an attachment and a subscription to go online (nearly $200 for a year and the attachment) and sounded like it would explode
