Instead of the developers trying to force esports as a thing, I make a multiplayer game that people enjoy and think is fun. And then let the community invent their own competitive/esports shit without my influence, and possibly very far away from the actual basegame.

There's nothing to fix. They're working as intended. I don't like them or watch them, but that's hardly a reason for me to try and fix them. I think soccer is painfully boring to watch and more similar to acting with how exaggerated it is, but it works for many more people than myself.
To try and make it work for me would make it stop working for the people who already enjoy it.

Removing it altogether
