I missed picking up the Arland and Dusk games on ps3, is Sophie a decent jump off point? Thinking of buying on steam.
Also Atelier thread?
I dont think it matters where you start.
theres also like 5+ ps2 games you missed and a ps1 game.

Yes, it's fine. I'd say the writing's better in the Arland games but the recent ones have better gameplay. Up to you.
I've gotten into Sophie recently and man, you can really lose hours and hours just gathering materials and trying to improve synths. The lack of a hard time limit on the story allows for you to just do what the fuck ever you want more or less. No idea how far I am into the story (there are 0 faqs for this game?) but my playtime has easily topped any of the Arland games already. Its really chill stuff.

would you recommend on ps4 or pc? How about Nights of Azure?

I'm playing it on PS4 (and thus manually tracking my playtime) and it looks/runs fine so far as I can tell? Not a tech/graphics person, but I can tell when a game is very obviously running poorly and this isn't one of them. I got NoA recently but have yet to start it. Can't have too many rpgs in progress at once!
