I only do this with Steam shit like >>384843185 or rather used to do it. I haven't done it for about 2 years now since I started controlling my impulses better.
Also FF12 is great, go play it faggot.
There isn't a single physical game I owned that I haven't played actually. Something about physical that makes you care more than for pirated or digital shit.
Let me ask you people something.
Why do you collect digital data on plastic discs in plastic boxes? Do you think that it will somehow become some sort of rare item 60 years from now? You'd literally make more money putting what you spent on it in low-risk, low-return investments.

makes me feel good

Jerk off before you spend any money.

I don't. Heck I pirate fucking everything that has no disadvantages when pirated. If I care about multiplayer or whatnot though, I will buy for obvious reasons. Also I tend to buy stuff I really like or to support a particular niche developer that isn't corproate fuckery that doesn't need my money anyway.

i already put 3k/mo in VTI.

I still play my old physical games and don't want a third party having any say in what I can do with them. I imagine I'll feel the same about my newer games years from now.
I used to. I don't anymore.
Realized video games are the most disposable piece of entertainment I spend shit on. Stopped doing so and suddenly have a lot more money.
