You need to learn how to properly emulate. That looks nothing like the textures in the original.

>tfw playing master quest on a real n64

Flashcarts are nice.

Also Majoras mask runs slower on the gamecube I think its because the emulator inside the collectors edition couldnt emulate the expansion pack due to limitations of gcn hardware so they made it work with out the expansion pack.

Playing the gcn majoras mask rom on a n64 flashcart does have the slow down you would not get with a actual cartridge/dump of a cartridge.
>>
>>384843562
That's a pretty interesting note. Have you noticed any draw distance issues or major new popin as a result when using flashcart on 64?
>>
>>384843836
I only played it a bit but no.

Playing the GCN rom on my flashcart did looks the same(there might be details I didnt notice) but it runs at 320x240 like any cartridge dump but of course text reference the gamecube controller and the context sensitive buttons are red.

It does have more slowdowns though(especially the swamp) so its my theory that this could be a version that would work without the expansion pack though I am not an IT wizard so I cant really dive into the code.

I made a video about it so you could see.

Pretty much my only experience with MM has been with the CE version. I just thought that it naturally had that framerate considering they both ran at 24 fps usually.

>narrow sign pole is highly detailed
>massive branch is stretched like crazy
People really didn't know how to UV map things back in the 90's.
>>
>>384844197
Have you tried running it without the expansion pack to see if it would work?
>>
>>384844197
It just seems weird to me that the gcn couldn't allot more ram. That's essentially all the expansion pack is. And it's not a lot more ram either but 4mbs.

But maybe getting it to recognize the extra ram was the problem. Just spitballing because I have no idea. But your theory is solid in the sense the n64's ram speed was already slow.
>>
>>384845091
I have an everdrive and it needs the expansion pack. However I am tempted at scouring for an old backup loading device such as the cdrom based ones.

>>384845234
GCN only had 24mb of memory and I remember reading apparently the emulator takes quite a bit.

Yes it was. Playing the roms included in master quest or collectors edition runs them at 320 240 on a n64, of course with gamecube text references/red context icons.
