I would recommend going light since dark side is just edgy bullshit (KOTOR 2 does it much better). You'd get tired of your PC sounding like a 13 year old after hearing lines like "I'm going to enjoy gutting you" or "I'm going to kill you SO MUCH".

My current attacks are: +28/+28/+28/+24 with the mainhand doing 9-32 and the final offhand doing 5-19. That's 32-115 damage each round if nothing misses.

Now, with Flurry, that number would increase by another 9-32, or 41-147 damage overall. But with Master Power Attack, the damage increases to 72-155 damage overall. And even with the -3 penalty that MPA applies, there's almost nothing in the game that a +25 won't hit.

Interesting tip for people that not a lot of folks have figured out... Mission actually does incredibly well with Zaalbar's Bowcaster. In my experience, people try to make Mission a crappier Carth and dual wield blasters, or just use dueling and be a low-HP tank with a vibroblade, but the Bowcaster is really a phenomenal option.

For one, the Bowcaster is the ONLY ranged weapon in the game that comes at 19-20 crit chance and has an upgrade sending it down to 17-20. Mission already comes with the ability Sniper Shot. If you upgrade it to Master Sniper Shot, then Zaalbar's Bowcaster now has a crit of 11-20, or 50% chance. The crit is fun, but it's only secondary to the main part of this combo. Sniper Shot also stuns on hit, with a DC of character level + intelligence. Mission comes with a 14 Intelligence, one of the highest anyone has in the game. The Stun, if successful, automatically applies her full Sneak Attack.

So, her attacks will do 17-102 on about half of her attacks and 13-80 on the other half. It's immensely gratifying to see one of the worst combat characters in the game firing from offscreen and doing triple digit damage.

That's exactly what I mean. People feel like the Jedi are the only party members worth a damn and so everyone else rots on the roster never getting picked. But there are excellent builds for all the side characters to make them just as OP as the Jedi. Mission's enemy perma-stunned, 100 damage a round build is just one example. And then you get to enjoy having companions with skills worth a damn.
