Nier Ending C/D is a choice of sacrificing your own existence to save Kaine. By offering your own existence as sacrifice, Kaine is saved, and the game will delete your save data. The only traces of that character left behind are a unique title screen and the inability to start the game using the same name as that character.

Nier Automata's Ending E is a shoot 'em up game of the credits as 2 characters discuss their options for what to do. After a few failed attempts, you get offered help, and taking it will bring up a bunch more ships with other players names that makes the shoot 'em up game a lot easier. Those ships are other players who completed Ending E and offered their save data to help other people beat it too.
