Gothic aged incredibly badly, the combat is so awful it makes it almost unplayable for me, which is a shame, because back in the day I really enjoyed the world, dialogues and overall story. I know Gothic and Morrowind have a lot in common but Morrowind's freedom in gameplay and exploration feels more expansive to me and first person is naturally more immersive.

Gothic is good though, just a different flavor and I think Morrowind's flavor last longer through subsequent play throughs. Gothic has a lot of replayability compared to most but just comes up short in comparison to me.

But this has no implications of turns and if nobody takes turns so its not turn based. Even if you're spamming at the same speed freedom of approach and movement make it far from turn based.
