Better atmosphere

By which I mean
>Timeless graphics
>Best OST in the series
>Geralt's voice acting hadn't gone full homer simpson yet which kept the tone more sombre
>A tale more focused on the typical witcher-work e.g. helping out small towns rather than a grand quest
>Less "video game" elements, e.g. less hunting for loot, only a handful of weapon/armour upgrades, a minimalist UI, no quick time events or fast travel, the best mini game in the series (which also fit with the world , playing dice in W2 felt annoying due to the clunkier board)
>a world clearly built for a more mature RPG audience (PC exclusive helped)
>taverns felt alive
>No need to worry about SJW feelings so the devs were free to include many trysts with surprisingly tasteful romance cards as opposed to a off-putting animation of character models grinding on each other (for some reason the card art was objectifying but having SFM in your game is ok)

All the Witcher games play terribly. If you want decent melee combat you have to train for hundreds of hours in a melee game like Chivalry or M&B. Of course the mechanics in those style of games would be too hardcore for the casual player so we either get:

>a rhythm based combat game like in W1 where the devs essentially outright say "the player wouldn't ever be able to fight like Geralt so just tap lmb in time with him". This actually encourages RPing with potion consumption/preparation because you couldn't cheese the enemy as easily

>spam dodge/roll then light attack spam rinse repeat game with hundreds of MMO tier armour and weapon upgrades. None of the enemies input attacks faster than a 70 year old Parkinson's patient so the player can feel strong and powerful! Potions not necessary at all

Neither require any skill but at least the first doesn't force you to spend 30% of your game time farming for materials to build your next +30 defense armour

Yes there are more adventures when you start new game,there are like 10 made by fans and 2 created by CDRP that add like 4 hours more of content.
The ones by CDRP are great and add a lot to the story and world they really felt like DLC.

I remember having a strange bug. Whenever I entered a new region geralt had a different running speed. Either really slow, fucking fast or sometimes normal. Never found a fix for that.
And I don't mean the difference in having the sword in the hand or not.
