well i think it's really just a matter of how the people in toy story were always more or less after thoughts. like, yeah, they were important but only important to specific scenes, and even then they had a very minimal amount of screen time.

the toys and all the scenes with them still hold up, it looks aged but not nearly as bad as that screencap. i'm pretty sure they spent less time polishing the scenes with people in them just because, again, they have minimal screen time.

Yeah I despise planned obsolescence. Buy a laptop with 2 year warranty? It starts to shit on me 2 years and a month in. 48" TV that cost me $1,300 in 2010? Failed within 5 years. I'm driving a old but reliable beater of a car and I will continue to do so until it dies for good, scared of buying a new one, most new cars are plastic pieces of shit that most people get rid of after 5 years, with complex bullshit thrown in to make simple maintenance a pain or something you have to go to the dealer for instead of DIY.
