Avoid walking trees, they explode after you kill them and if you die to it, the game will crash. You have to pray your rolling health keeps you alive.

It's a decent JRPG but not the best on the SNES. A lot of people will try to tell you it's amazing with a great story but these are the same people who think Undertale is great, so take that with a grain salt. It's not a bad game by any means though and replaying it for the third time, but it still feels a bit underdeveloped in places and the story/setting get increasingly jerky.

Definitely play it but don't expect it to top the general greatness of Chrono Trigger or the comfiness of Super Mario RPG.

One of the most influential RPGs of all time. It's charming, fun, and pretty challenging. The soundtrack is excellent as well.

Parts of the game can be very difficult and frustrating if you don't know what you're doing though. The major difficulty spikes are probably:

Peaceful Rest Valley
Desert Mole Dungeon
Fourside Dept. Store

Seriously though the department store is fucked. You will not beat it on your first try.
