With /v/ being so big, every subject is bound to run into two opposite poles who either derail a thread because they're really passionate about the subject or for (you's). Honestly, I don't think it's possible to fix this anymore on /v/. People should just create a new site with others who are (partially) on the same page if they want to discuss games. After all, these threads have made it pretty clear that relying to others to solve the issue for them is futile.
