There should have been a story mode where you played as a machine, starting out from a little shit one and upgrading yourself until you became a Goliath class. It would have been interesting to see the story mode through the perspective of a machine as well as unique gameplay possibilities. The only question is who you would fight.

It's a real shame that Plato 1728 ended up only being briefly mentioned. He's pretty much that, plus gained a true self-consciousness and caused a massive mayhem killing both machines and androids just to protect a factory with dolls who he considered his only friends.
