Eacheck volume is only like 2 hours long because the episodes are from 8-15 minutes on average. So you can marathon it in a day. It's really shit and I say this as someone who has watched all 4 volumes and will probably watch 5 cause I'm a stupid asshole. Keep in mind the main plot doesn't really kick in until the end of volume 3 but then goes nowhere because volume 4 has shitty pacing.

It's an entertaining series. It only gets better with every Volume, but Vol 4 was kind of a drag with awkward pacing.

Fight scenes are probably the best at around Vol 1 and 2, because Monty Oum was still alive by then, but from what they showed in the trailer for the next season, it seems they're picking it up real good.

If you've never consumed any form of fiction before, I could see that. In reality, it's bad fanfic-tier writing and the amateur voice acting makes it even worse. The series overall just lacks coherence- tonal shifts are rendered ineffective because of how haphazard the writing is. It's almost like they have a different writer for each scene and none of them know what the others are doing.

Character designs are cool though and some of the fight choreography is pretty great, which makes it almost perfect for a fighting game.

I like the show. The first volume is maybe a 5/10. The show is a little cringey at time, but occasionally quite funny. Writing isn't terrible but not very good either. Characters are awkward (sometimes deliberately) but there is a wide variety of seemingly well designed characters and I found them to be endearing to me. The music is nice. The animation is janky (this is partly because the guys making aren't using real animation software and there are only like a dozen of them making it), but the fight scenes are very well directed and memorable.

Volume 2 solves a number of the problems of volume 1. The show overall is significantly less cringey while being significantly funnies and at time hilarious. Writing is better but still not great. Character's are significantly less awkward and some explored, develop, and evolve significantly in engaging ways. Music is still good. Animation is overall better (aided by significantly expanding the workforce and improvements in the processes and familiarity with the software they are using) but something of a mixed bag. It is noticeably better in some places (much less gorilla hands and jerky movements) and worse in others as they take some more animation "risks" in some scenes (one character runs across a roof-top with gables, it does not animate well....). Fights are still very well directed but play less of a carrying role than in volume 1.

For Volume 3 mear all cringe is gone, but it isn't as funny partly due to tone shift and an increase in the drama. This is a very good thing writting. There are a lot of characters introduced, and the quality of their designs is noticeably lessened, but they are not bad characters. Already introduced character's are still engaging and interesting. Animation is better, fights are less good but not bad at all.

Volume 4 solves the animation, fights are not as good, overall pacing and focus problems.

Recommend the series, it is basically free on youtube. Word cap.

This one. Gameplay and music are king in Touhou, and the loosely-defined personalities of the characters allow the fandom to go wild with them. Touhou certainly isn't good from a writing standpoint, but it's may more solid than RWBY on an aesthetic one, and writing little detail about your characters is preferable to writing slightly more and fucking it up.

I dunno about want, but I guarantee that the characters will be Hyde linne seth and orie. The first three are the main protagonists and the last one is the top waifu that everyone likes.

If we get more than that, things get interesting because all the other really popular characters like wald, gordeu or merkava are the ones with extremely strong zoning or fullscreen normals which may be way too strong in a game with blazblue mechanics.

I'd personally really want carmine in the game because he's got a really cool playstyle and doesn't have the above problem but I dunno how popular he is.

The guest character is partially owned by both companies because she debuted in melty blood, and even then the guest version is a legally distinct form of the character with a different name, a different voice actress and a slightly different design. They can't make a sequel because the company that owns the IP didn't want to, basically. Her UNIEL sprite was the remains of a new melty blood game that ended up being scrapped.
