I like ESA more because it's obviously not as disgustingly corporate as GDQ (at least for now) and you get some shit that would never get in other ones. How often would you get a 9 hour Crash Bash "speed" run or Croc?

Final Fantasy XII got in last year as well which was a shock because despite that being one of my third favourite PS2 game behind Okami and Ratchet and Clank 3 it is mostly just grinding XP and would be incredibly boring for a marathon.

obviously GDQs have gone way too far in their "no fun allowed" ways, but when you go in the complete opposite direction and just have annoying memers who think yelling out "shit" is the same as telling a joke, that's not really any better. also most of the runs i watched had people fucking up tricks left and right, it wasn't even good from a speedrunning perspective.

ESA is so much fucking better than GDQ, its the best one by far. GDQ is basically the progressive tranny USSR that ban fun, and NASA takes off in the opposite direction with full on 9gag-tier memery.

It also has a much better schedule, it isn't all taken up by shitty Megayman shit, bing bing wahoo, and all the other games that have been speedrun to death.
