I watch a speedrun depending on the game. This way I learn secrets and glitches I would have never learnt and get to try them the next time I play.
I sometimes like to see other players' reactions to specific moments in games. For example, when Until Dawn came out I watched some other people go through it to see if the game actually did split based on choices and what everyone's reaction/outcomes were. It was pretty neat since I had no interest going through it again, but it was cool to see how the game changes slightly depending on weirdly small choices and how people managed to get characters killed. Similarly, it was cool to watch one channel go through Yakuza 0 after beating it because I knew of the specific moments where shit went crazy or was silly, so their reactions were fun.
Depends on the game and the player though. Some games I have no interest in watching others play, and I certainly don't care for people who just ignore the game to dick around with their own stupid shit. That's why I avoid a lot of streams because people will stop every five seconds to thank subscribers or get distracted by whatever dumbass question is posted in chat.
