Deagle is cheap tier on realism. Instantly kills common with 1 hit on any difficulty. Reloads fast and is as accurate as a handgun. It gets pretty boring fast.

The sniper rifles take 3 body shots to kill a zombie in Expert Realism. One Silenced SMG headshot will kill a zombie so it's pretty good there. Deagle still one shots but gotta be wary of friendly fire. Spas isn't bad for headshotting either.

Pumps on expert and realism expert are kinda viable if you're accurate with your shots. One meaty shot from it can kill 1-2 clumped common together easily. In realism expert you have to shoot really close for a headshot. You also need to learn to "quick pump" - shoot then nudge for faster pump shooting.

Yes, but let's hope they do some serious rebalancing. It's honestly more likely than a HL3, since it's multiplayer, smaller scale, and can sell crates (it'll happen).

Tier 2 shouldn't be instant death machines in versus, maybe the current tier 2 could be made tier 3 and an additional tier added between them that's more common in levels 2-3 of a campaign. Also, it's annoying how in some parts of the maps there is nowhere for the special infected to spawn. They need way more little nooks, crannies, open windows, roofs and such for zombies and hordes to spawn from.

Also, melee weapons seem incredibly strong. What if melee took up your primary weapon slot (explaining away your magic pistol you get while downed even if you weren't carrying one), while making up for it by improving and adding more secondaries on the level of the deagle, like a sawn off double barrel, a machine pistol, etc.
