f2p games, but most brazilians are dirt poor since they are monkeypeople and can only play games at lan centers, which is even more amusing because they are paying money to play f2p games. I always wondered where they get the electricity to even power a computer.

The Olympic Games: The Videogame. Over half the roster decides not to do their events.
apparently FF14 since they all came out of the woodwork crying that steam finally fixed its sub fee pricing to match square enix
they went from paying $4 a month to the $15 a month the rest of the world pays(buying directly from square enix has always been approx $15 just valve never updated prices on game time bought through steam till recently)

This is pretty much right. Everyone plays MOBAs, Counter Strike is huge due to the LAN house era that is mostly over, FIFA and soccer games are our madden and NBA games.
PS1 and PS2 are way stronger than NES and Super NES because of piracy, so fewer people played around that era, although the core gamers probably have had a Super Nintendo and two or three games or a Mega Drive, our version of one of Sega's consoles.
People who play more games play about the same as everyone else.
Oh, and thanks to piracy I've never got to finish FF9. Twice the fourth cd did not work and the third time it was the second cd of ff8.

I'll answer this seriously since nobody did for PC gaming
Back in the olden days we used to play a lot of f2p games since games were WAY more expensive and Steam didn't have support for BR currency yet.
In that era we used to play Tibia, Ultima Online, and Ragnarok for MMOs.
Other games that were really easy to pirate and play online (notably those with dedicated servers) were also widespread, Counter Strike 1.6 (which was crazy popular), Age of Empires and Warcraft 3, which had a sizable dota community here
As time went by those P2W korean games started to take over since the other games i mentioned started to feel old and surpassed by other ones in the market. People started playing games such as Combat Arms and Point Blank in place of CS 1.6, more "advanced" MMOs such as Perfect World and Lineage in place of Tibia and so on.
Those quickly got old because of cash shop jewery and all, and luckily around that time Steam decided to integrate BR currency, making games way more affordable, not to mention the fact that digital media is also subject to lower taxes here.
Thus we reach the contemporary era, where people play whatever twitch streamers play nowadays like everyone else because modern games became affordable, such as CSGO, whatever meme arena survival shooter there is, League of Legends and so on.

As for console gaming, it's pretty much what >>384763962 said. Absolutely everyone here had a modded PS2 where you could just burn games into a DVD-R and play them right off the bat. The problem is, most people lacked the technical knowhow how to burn a disc (mostly because we were all kids), so they just bought those "pre-burned" pirated discs to play on their PS2s.
Of course soccer games were wildly popular, alongside other well-known games like GTA SA too. Though most pirates would just burn games indiscriminately and you could stumble upon a rare franchise as well. I remember buying pirated .hack/gu discs for example.
Another funny thing is that since they could burn pretty much any ps2 game .iso they wanted, they would often sell modded ps2 games too, such as shitty modded versions of GTA:SA
My favorite modded discs were the ones that came with PS2 compatible emulators and a shitton of games with it. Once i purchased a SNES emulation disc that had the entire NTSC library, so even though i was too young for the SNES, i could still experience many of its games. Pic related.
This "pirate game market" still existed for the Wii and 360, but none were as lucrative as the PS2 one.

From what I heard GTA SA which has a disgusting modding community there.
And GTA V downgraded to look like on a DS to be able to run it on their potato PCs.
