Because all of those consoles had to get their R&D cost back. Since nintendo is a exclusive vydea company, they cant afford to have unsold consoles, they dont have that problem with the snes mini. It probably costs them 10$ to make one, so there is almost no risk involved for them if they saturate the market

If you actually owned an everdrive then you would at least know that the everdrive can't run SA-1 or Super FX games, of which several notable ones are on this collection.

More importantly though, it comes with two SNES pads for wii, which would be 20 or 30 bucks online per controller/adapter anyway. So why buy those when for a little more I get a convenient novelty?
