UA is fun for a couple games but like it's so unbalanced it's insane. It's unplayable outside of a casual "holy fuck I have 11 great gargants" type of thing even though that's already pretty great.

The engine and graphics were aside from being resource heavy, I just wish for DoW 1 in this engine.

Vermintide is a niche game.

Nothing more, it COULD have been a good L4D clone, but they fucked up... HARD when it launched, not enough content, shit loot system, shit servers ... they fixed it kinda, but the damage is down and now you have an underpopulated game thats eh...
And they still havent added any more enemies or scenarios.

TWWH2 is definitly a must buy for me - I dont care TW fans are buttblasted about it, I never played TW and while I have to say siege battles are mediocre, I cant wait for lizards and tomb kings.

like UA is a really cool mod, but it has huge fundamental problems like unit obsolescence that makes it so that for many races there is literally zero point in using infantry at all, like Guard. In the vanilla game your infantry were squishy as fuck but if you upgraded them they would melt pretty much any other equivalent infantry if you had enough of them, and if you supported them with tanks they were absolutely terrifying

but in UA if you try to get a couple leman russes and guardsmen they just get crushed by some superheavy tank or titan which outclasses everything by huge amounts

Honestly Relic probably did the best way that I can think of to fix this, that being actually limit the number of superheavy stuff you can deploy and extending the window where you can deploy smaller stuff without it being instantly crushed. DoW 3 is UA if UA had sanity.

I would be saying that it would include the big factions. Make the focus of the story mode on Space Marines, sure, but have any faction in the multiplayer/offline skirmishes.

My only problem is that my skillset is limited to concept and code. Everything beyond that is very difficult for me.

They forgot about Dawn of War being a spectacle rts. Dawn of War was never designed to be competitive or balanced, but it was designed to be fun and cool to watch. Thats why removing things like cover mechanics retreat, sync kills, interesting upgrades, squad modifications, meaningful base building and choosing a retarded fucking artstyle lead to its demise. People like to blame it entirely on the moba influence, but SC2s shit tier game design where they focused entirely on the competitive scene early on leaving the casual players by the wayside prob influenced this game just as much. This all without mentioning the fucking tiny amount of content in terms of maps and the sub par campaign.

RO2-style is for realistic post-WW1 tactical cover based shooters, where Wamham is decidedly less realistic, and emphasizes charges and melee combat, at the expense of precision aiming. The best part of RO2 to appropriate (combined arms), is already in Battlefield and it's spinoffs (like Battlefront).
The biggest difference is the fact that one rifle round can instantly kill a Soviet infantryman, but it takes many many bolter rounds to kill a Space Marine.

One of the two factions in RO2's expanions were focussed on melee charges. A 40k game would benefit greatly from the heavy atmosphere Red Orchestra can provide along with the asymmetric game play. Obviously would just forgoe space marines, they are boring anyway. Have the base game be IG vs Orks with expansions throwing in heretics and maybe Tau.

Could probably just make Space Marines be tank-equivalents for both sides on some maps where you get like a squad of them on a timed respawn. They'll fucking rek shit but just die if they get shot in the face by a lascannon (AT gun).
