What's some shit no one really talks about on GBA that's good or interesting?
was playing Smashing Drive on it (my fucking eyes), V-Rally 3 (great game, no one mentions it enough), and F-14 Tomcat (mediocre but entertaining), and I'm looking for other shit that's at least interesting, even if it's not terribly good
sick of looking up "best games on GBA" and getting the same two dozen games I've already played
>>384749235
legacy of goku 1 and 2 are my favorites
mother 3, hard to emulate correctly from what I remember though, because of the combat timing and the music.
I really liked the megaman zero games... incredibly easy megaman games, but i like the aesthetic.
My parents bought this for my sister but I think I ended up putting dozens of hours into it. Kicks the shit out of Mario and Sonic at the Olympics

>mother 3, hard to emulate correctly
I'm sure mGBA can emulate it fine.
>>384749459
maybe. I just remember in the past that It was difficult because the music has to be in sync perfectly with the game because combat relies on timing your attack with the rhythm of the music.
This game is never mentioned. I found it online and tried it on a whim but was surprised how good it was. It basically is like punchout on the gba. It plays the same and still has the cartoony style and characters that punchout is known for. I highly suggest it to any fans of punchout, great game.
>>384749459
Not him but i still believe even on there are problems. I emulate gba on my psp and have found it runs perfectlu on there.

>I really liked the megaman zero games... incredibly easy megaman games, but i like the aesthetic.
as far as I've played of the first MMZ, it's been a fair bit more painful than going through the X series
The Spyro GBA games were pretty fun
>>384749738
shit, this is pretty cool, and the graphics are great
thanks man
>>384749382
>legacy of goku 1 and 2
This plus buu's fury are top tier I played the shit out of them as a kid.
>>384749235
Astro Boy Omega Factor, Rayman 3 GBA, Drill Dozer, Ninja Five-0, Boktai, Gunstar Super Heroes
>>384750110
No problem anon, it's a pretty cool game and I myself was surprised by the quality of it.
Another game that's pretty cool is Scurge Hive, though his was made for both gba and ds. This one is literally a metroid game but with a isometric perspective.
Had fun playing this as a kid, better than the console version IMO
>>384749956
Agreed. I liked this era where they tired to port 3D games to pseudo 3D games. The GBA Banjo Kazooie was similar
>>384749382
OP asked for games no one talks about retard
It's no Advance Wars or Fire Emblem, but its writing more than makes up for it.
>>384749235
This game was actually pretty cool and since I didn't know about the sonic fanbase at the time, I had no problem playing it.
>>384750382
holy shit her hair is majestic
looks pretty cool
>>384749439
Ham Ham Heartbreak was the shit
>>384749235
tekken, ALIEN HOMINID, BOKTAI 1,2,3, DRILL DOZER, GUNSTAR SUPER HEROES, INVADER, KLONOA 1,2, IRIDION 1,2, REBELSTAR TACTICAL COMMAND
>>384749235
>legacy of goku games
already mentioned it but some great dbz games especially if you're into the series
>yggdra union
fire emblemesque game with it's own twist
>mega man battle network
not sure if there's are not really talked about but it seems like everyone's forgot about them these days, a great rpg series, you fight real time on a grid with recharging chips (cards) has a great story and gameplay but unfortunately got a bit shit with it's attempted transition to the ds (last game actually went backwards to gba exclusive) first 4 games are 100% worth checking out though
>klonoa
above average platformer
>boktai
rpg by Kojima, has a unique light sensor function to built into the cartridge to recharge your gun, mgba can emulate this if your don't have a cartridge (you probably don't)
Advance Guardian Heroes, my dude. One of the first games I got for my GBA, but I was a dumb faggot back then and I lost it.
>>384753743
I forgot to include NINJA FIVE-O, PHANTASY STAR COLLECTION(kinda sad there is not 4), SUPER MONKEY BALL JR and SUPER ROBOT TAISEN ORIGINAL GENERATION 1,2
Boktai is criminally underrated and underrepresented. it is one of the best gba games out there with good action, excellent stealth, challenging puzzles that scale based on difficulty and utilized its main gimmick in a way that makes the game both more engaging and immersive.
I will shill this game to the ends of the earth until it gets the appreciation it deservesand konami gets off their asses and makes a new one that isnt a disgrace like lunar knights
>>384749235
tony hawk pro skater for gba
for some reason i love it
>>384754850
shit was hard as fuck to control with that isometric camera but I enjoyed it too.
>>384754104
>PHANTASY STAR COLLECTION
Isn't 3 bugged in that one and unplayable
>>384749235
Zoids Legacy
Didn't even watch the various anime but I enjoyed it. Lots of service for people who did I guess since it's a crossover game.
>>384754735
I wish I could've found a copy of this as a kid. I freaking loved Boktai 2.
bummerman tournament
>>384749382
>mother 3
This is going to sound retarded, but does it perfectly on the 3DS, if you inject it through the Virtual Console?I'm asking because I swear the music isn't in sync at times. I've had periods where I'm pressing the button as the beat hits, and it simply wouldn't do anything, while if I randomly choose a beat on others, I can do it semi-consistently.
>>384755604
I think emulating from a actual console helps. As I said in >>384749738 I have emulated it on psp and it ran perfectly for me with no problem in comboing at all.
>>384755750
Weird. I've had speed issues with other games before on my PSP (like in Final Fantasy V, and with Mother 3) which don't occur on my 3DS, but Mother 3's battle sync just seemed off whenever I tried to do it properly. Maybe my rhythm is just off.
>>384753774
been meaning to give MMBN a shot
thanks for the suggestions
>>384757508
If you not feeling BN1 just go straight to 2, if you don't like that one then don't bother with the rest
