It's shit because it's an unofficial sequel to a game that was vastly inferior to it's original counterpart, thus making it shit by association and because it's just not very good on it's own.

Most things are shit because they're shit, not because of some idiotic excuses.

The loading times are a tad long, but honestly, I love the minigames. There are two types of hacking minigames.

There are like 1 or 2 sixaxis minigames, but they're short and not that bad.

From what I gather from others, the gameplay is certainly not for everyone, but I mostly enjoyed how it felt like an Ouendan RPG with a large assortment of interchangeable Sonic characters. I see why people don't like it, and I am not saying it's good, but I personally had fun with it.

It has such a catchy and bizarre acapella soundtrack, A legitmately fun story mode with both platforming and racing, and it is tons of fun to play with friends. It might not be ctr, but I really appreciate it for what it is.

I almost feel like this feature was made with the multiplayer in mind. Then it becomes a hectic race against your friend to fuse with the best racers, or you could work cooperatively together which comes with trust issues as you never know if your friend is going to separate at the last minute and betray you. It's really fun.

Load times aren't great but they're nowhere near the kind of shit in OP's image. 'Tolerable' is the best word for it. The game is definitely worth playing if you like Sly 2 and 3 since it takes the best parts of both and adds new stuff like disguises that give you abilities.

PSTVs are cheap and Sly 4 was released for it. It runs at 30fps but compared to emulating the PS3 version it's probably the better option at least right now.
