Endless legend for fantasy, Stellaris for space

>Is there any real time strategy game similar to a turn based strategy game
No, because Civilization isn't an RTS. What you are looking for is 4x games.

Rise of Nations is exactly the same as Empire Earth/Empires:Dawn of the modern world but with a Microsoft brand logo.
Does Alpha Centauri/Alien Crossfire count as a Civilization game?
In any case, it deserves a mention here

What's a good spiritual successor to Rise of Nations?

As they said, rise of nations blends a lot of 4x concepts nicely with an Age of empires framework.
Some awesome things are
-Resources can't run out
-Research and age advancing is quite complex
-Buildings variety is incredible, specially when advancing ages
-tons of nations with unique bonuses
-A cool risk-like (this one is more literally like risk) campaign map
