If best boy Sun hadn't followed her to the boat she left in, her friends probably would have never seen her again, might have even assumed she was dead.
In vol 4 she is a huge bitch to Sun, the guy that crossed a fucking ocean to try to help her. She slaps him numerous times for trying to help her find the terrorists, and he ends up getting stabbed because of her.
And of course, because she is a woman and "opressed", Tumblr completelly justifies her actions, while shitting on Sun the whole time.
They better find a way to redeem her, but I seriously doubt it.

Pyrrha has always been at best a plot device, and not even a very strong one at that. People in the world made a big deal about her because she was super strong and smart and perfect but really she never did all that much. She was most valuable to Jaune's character development in the end.
