Wouldn't really recommend it if you aren't into Fateshit or the characters from Extra series. Also, if you hate musuos, avoid.

Combat gets extremely repetitive spamming Extella manouver on higher difficulties and movesets could be better.

It's decent fan service otherwise though and Altera route was much better than expected.

I played the PS4 version, got the platinum, here are my thoughts:

>game is a really good warriors clone, territories are actually difficult to hold and some stage objectives are fairly hard. Enemy servants can also be pretty Unga
>character balance is good though some need to be leveled up to get the moves/combos that make them good (see Emiya, Gil, Iskandar)
>Jeanne is absolute garbage being a slow as fuck unit and her NP kills her
>story is surprisingly good, however I hope you like Nero because get ready for Nero wank, not near as bad as FGO though

>replay value kinda sucks unless you want to get max rank on all stages with every character

Can confirm that is it not as good looking as the PS4 version. Enemy density is lower, and the resolution is not as high. It is pretty blurry when running the game docked in TV mode.

Story hold its own until the last arc.
That is, until Nero punch through any obstacle with her shonen-tier power up and make Altera understand everything about humanity and arts because her NP is BEAUTIFULL. Nero was alright in the first part, making her the main servant of the last was clearly a mistake

Also the gameplay is sure flawed, you end up fast to abuse the Extella Maneuver system by exemple. There was some sort of aberation like those rubles on the ground maybe one meter high who act like an invisible pillar. That not the sort of shit XSeed should still struggle with.

I'm bitching but it feel like the game/series got so much potential that it's infurating to see it being so rushed.

You're asking a massive Nerofag that bought the exact same game twice for full price. My opinion will be heavily skewered.

That said, if you have only a cursory knowledge of FATE (especially Extra) then it'd probably be better to wait for a sale. This is a game that's a straight up 20 hour sequel to a Japanese only PSP game and does not give a fuck if you haven't played the previous entry. The gameplay isn't anything special, it's really just for Extra/CCC fans to tie them over until Last Encore airs later this year.

This game is getting a sequel though, so if you do like it, there'll be more to play. You should look at importing from bongland if you do decide to jump in early though. I got the Switch version for 42 euro.

Alternatively pirate the PC release later next week.
