Morrowind > Oblivion

One thing that really kills Oblivion for me is how boring the world is. Even Skyrim has a more interesting world. Ayleid ruins inparticular suck and pale in comparison to dwemer ruins.

Also Redguard and Battlespire are unbearable as well.

And there is no extreme Leveling problems and the Loot system is much better than Oblivions. Magic is a slight downgrade but all in all the combat is a more polished version of Oblivions.

I am sorry, but having no real final boss is a real problem with Oblivion. Also Blackreach is one of the best Elder Scrolls dungeons in the whole series and nothing really comes close in Oblivion's main quest (not to say Oblivion Doesn't have some fucking badass dungeons). And Martin's fetch quest taking up a fourth of the main quest is pretty shitty filler.

Yeah you sort of got me there, but I feel that the real problem with Oblivion is the blandness of the overworld. There is very little difference between the area around Anvil and the area around Skingrad. I hate how most the map is just forest.

When Morrowind came out there weren't a lot immersive open-world fantasy themed RPGs where one could create a character and act out their medieval fantasies. I fucking HATED Morrowind for not having a "cliche" setting. I played it for hundreds of hours but the flora and fauna were a fucking drag to me at the time. LotR films had just started and there I was fighting fucking Nix Hounds. Without noticing it I grew to appreciate Morrowind for what it was, but I adore Oblivion for its setting. Shit's cool.
