I like how pumped up everybody is over the Tourney, but we should really wait till Saturday or at the very least Friday Night. I was thinking of having the 2nd evo's stats be whatever the 1st evo of the vermin it defeated was with its stats buffed with the stats a 2nd evo vermin should have.

I really love your idea, dude. I want to try something similar except as a parasite with an ability where even if it loses, it infects the first opponent it meets and latches onto them for the rest of the game

Of course then I'd need to draw an infected form for if it does lose and a a form for if it wins. And even then, I doubt it'd be a popular idea among the other vermin's creator

Can I get a more detailed rundown of the rules?

When I last participated it was 13/16/20 stat growth with one reasonable ability unlocked at stage 2, but now I see abilities that get stronger at stage 3, plus a team ability which I'm not sure is in addition to or in replacement of the regular ability. So what, we get 3 abilities now? Sounds like a lot of work for our kind host 2bh.

Most people make them get better or different when it evolves from stage 2 to 3 because host often makes the abilities get stronger or weaker to balance them anyways.
If a vermin has a solo ability and a team ability, it uses the solo ability in 1v1 matches, but in team matches the team ability replaces the solo one. Most tourneys are either 1v1 or teams only so a vermin having both types of abilities is usually just to make sure it can do well in all types of matches

With low enough numbers it's pretty balanced (~5 per round is balanced since that's how much it costs to get an ability), although honestly not very interesting since the numbers won't vary much.

It can be. Blasts not connecting and then doing extra damage when the enemy uses Muscle attacks is sutationally useless, but interesting and usually pretty good in theory.
