The only reason I'm against the CC is it's fucking micro transaction DLC bullshit, along with Bethesda's policy of putting bare minimum effort into each game because they know modders will fix it.

If you're crashing when outdoors could be a town or city or place you've installed.
Make sure you have crash fixes with OSallocators enabled. It's incredibly important for the game to be stable.
NPC inventory crashes tend to mean that there is something in their inventories that is causing the game to crash.
I had that problem with a merge I made for Book covers of skyrim after figuring out it was books that were causing me to crash.

It's really not a video game. Nothing you do gets a proper response from the world. It's just a playground with a ton of generic responses to different things, but nothing specific. Anytime you try to immerse yourself in the world and do something, there's no fucking response. So you gotta imagine the response. And then you do something else. And the game responds wrong. So you gotta fix it with your imagination.
You don't need a game for this. If you want a playground where you do something and imagine all the responses, you can just do that inside of your head. That's what Bethesda games are. They provoke you to play inside of your head. What you see on the computer screen is inconsequental. Personally I can't stand them. It takes me about 2 minutes of playing to notice something that disconnects me from the world and no amount of mods will fix it.

The problems with Skyrim and Elder Scrolls in general is:

So I've tried using various ENBs, namely unbleak ENB, but after following the guide my in-game graphics turn out to be garbage. Everything is far too dark and my FPS tanks from ~30 down to ~5. I'm running a 750Ti. Should I not even bother using ENBs until I get a new GPU?

Using Combat Evolved and Revenge of the Enemies is nice and all but swinging your sword still feels like your swinging around a giant dildo and it kills it for me.
