I liked all bosses from the DLC but felt they had way too much fucking HP, specially Midir and that fucking double demon, Gael was alright, I really love 1 on 1 with an enemy that has a similar moveset, I even used the triple crossbow since DaS1 and it felt even cooler when this nigger pulled out one that fired like 10 shots or so in a row, the setting was amazing too.

I was feeling burnt out on DaS3 after finishing the shitty Ashes DLC, the Ringed City started out just as boring and uninteresting but the Gael fight was pretty fun actually, I went in blind having no idea it was going to be an actual boss fight. He took me down to 0 estus and shit was tense, I was playing a shitty dex sharp shortsword build but still holding my own, I started playing conservatively and got his HP down to a pixel and we both attacked and killed eachother at the same time but I still got the victory. I just wish his sword wasn't so ugly.

Gael was a cool fight, but not the best. He's an improved Artorias but he's way too easy for a final boss. After a couple tries in each of his phases you can fuck him up easily.

Even though the DLC sucks, Big Daddy and Little Sister was probably the best fight in the franchise since it was a mix of Priscilla, O&S and Maria

While he's not the hardest or the best I thought he was the best fight to end the series on, just dueling the red knight in the desert as lightning strikes around you and he powers up with the Dark Soul. The way you fight running and dashing across this big area also made it feel like you were fighting the souls version of 9-Ball.

He looked really cool doing shit but I only got hit like three times. I want a boss that requires you to have complete mastery of the controls and not just mash dodge.
Like, I never use backstep attacks, roll attacks, or jump attacks on a boss because I don't need them. It's just R1 until I'm almost out of stamina and then roll. Works wonders.
So I think Gael is the coolest looking boss in all of Souls but he didn't even seem like he was trying to attack me sometimes.
