I don't mind difficulty or grinding but I'm worried about shit that you can only really know through experience like where to level, what attunements lead into each other etc

Why is anyone excited about this? Private servers are a dime a dozen, and they're universally shitty

Quite different from other servers. Gummy's work on it makes it different since the mechanics are retail like in terms of actual quests/spells/calculations. Regular TBC servers are just mangos clone with custom scripts and bit improved dungeons and maybe some spell fixes. Gummy's is bit more comprehensive in core overhaul mechanics are fixed.

Might try it tonight when I get home from work, depending on how fucked the server is. Can't decide whether I want to level a warrior to tank/dps or roll a tauren enhance shaman to relive my early WoW days.

what is the *real* difference between this and any other private server.

there's always some new one people are getting hyped for every few months

wow... epic... amazing gameplay... now i see bc truly was the best...

nothing cause I dont FOTM reroll onto new servers. US hosting means it can get shut down at any time, and the sheer hype behind it will lead to a 3x blizzlike playerbase per server.

Honestly overpopulation is such a huge issue with these hyped servers that they're not even fun. You group and lose solo exp, or you play shaman and tag snipe with shocks.

I'm enjoying Project Ascension.
