Not only did Nintendo amaze the gaming community with an incredibly elegant voice chat solution this week but they have also found another way to remind us they can't provide basic online functionality.
The Nintendo eshop has crashed and people are unable to download Splatoon 2 at release. Wouldn't be a problem if preload on the Switch was a thing, right? lol sure thing buddy.
Does Nintendo just not care about providing a functional online ecosystem for its fans? Do they figure people will buy their games anyway? There is no way that Nintendo management can think what we have right now is suitable so I am struggling to figure out why don't have something that at least reaches parity with Xbox Live when it was released in 2002.
It's been 15 years since MS showed us what a proper online infrastructure should be on a console. 15 years.
