this should be enough to tell you that its shit, but if that isn't enough i'm in the alpha and can confirm that its shit. the combat is nothing but mindless mashing, resource collecting is even more mindless mashing, and base building is a pain in the ass because of the UI.

its also soulless, like it was designed by robots who picked out what made every popular game popular in the past five years.

is there a "survive as long as possible" mode?

Is it another of those "to balance for pvp anything must take 5 years of tedious collecting to do" sort of game? Fucking hate how all the survival games that have multiplayer go that route, especially given that it's far far easier to just wreck the fuck out of someones place when they are offline.

Is it set up like multiplayer matches or is it a continuing world that you save and come back to later?

it's mission based with an overall progression system and a 'home' base that you can continually upgrade and can be called on to defend throughout the game.
