I'm a part of a Polish Nintendo fangroup so by definition I know a few, but the so-called general population doesn't even know Nintendo Switch exists. None of the Nintendo products are sold in regular (ie not strictly vidya centric) stores here, so they get no exposure whatsoever. Since Nintendo doesn't have an official branch here (only a distributor) the products don't get advertised in TV, magazines etc.

Regarding Xbones popularity - hard to say, but X360 was rather popular with the dudebros last gen, and unlike Nintendo shit it actually gets advertised in TV and sold in non-hobbyist stores, so I assume it must have a decent following here.

The DS and PSP for example, both anomalies no one could have predicted during the release year of the GBA, prevented the GBA from probably getting upwards of 150m sold units lifetime considering it managed nearly 100m in just 3 years.
That is why I'm willing to bet on 50m lifetime. 50m by Dec31 2020? Not feasible. Even the PS4 took a full 3 years to sell 50m units, the end of 2020 doesn't even give the Switch a full 3 years, nor does it factor in the NAND issues.

So 10M by March 31st 2018 or 50m by Dec31st 2023. Pick your poison or chicken out.
