The X1 still isn't some custom chip. It has standard A57 and A53 cortex ARM cores which are well documented, and it's running what is essentially a slightly modified freebsd kernel

The main hurdle to emulation will be getting the games decrypted, which will require the system being hacked wide open first. Without access to the executable, emulation is impossible
