It's been out in Japan for over a day fampai.

And yes, Enkidu is noskill as fuck. His combos are literally auto-steer. He has mash one button combos kind of like Ram from Xrd except his entire playstyle is built around them with none of the tools or execution. B > B > B C > C > C is a legit combo that does nearly 3k damage meterless. He was specifically made for shitters.

I guess so. I've played UNIEL half a dozen times and gravitated to him immediately because I always pick the largest character, and he seemed pretty easy to pick up. Obviously I didn't learn many combos but on a low-mid level, grapplers don't need that much as long as you can read people.

I've had a similar experience with Tager, except I was mostly playing shitters who aren't good at 2D fighters. I beat a couple people who DO play, but they were definitely close matches.

You're right about Potemkin though, that fucker EARNS wins in Xrd regardless of skill level. The guy I've played most often mains Elphelt and even the most basic Elph play makes life hell for Pot.

I've also played solo Big Band in Skullgirls and have had people accuse me of picking the most broken character. Like, just fucking block and react to shit and/or rush me down, then don't jump if I'm rushing at you in case it's A-Train. I swear, super armor and command grabs get people so mad when unless you're REALLY good they aren't that amazing of tools against anybody competent. I really like using them, but that's just because I like the big damage and tearing through shit.

Why do you people never take neutral into account.
Let's use Susano'o as an example.
He has a low execution barrier, but he's not a very good character because his neutral sucks. Winning with him against skilled opponents with better characters is hard. If this game is anything like the first undernight then I believe that Enkidu will run into some of the same problems that Akatsuki did.

Akatsuki got buffed in [st], so much so that he's in the top tier.

Of course the game was patched with the console release so it'll take a little time to see if he's still in the top.

Except Enkidu's neutral is pretty good and he has way more tools than UNIEL Akatsuki did with much easier combos to boot. And Susano'o is only bad because he has to unlock most of his options through his Drive. If he started the match with even just couple certain ones unlocked from the get-go he'd be much improved. The patch notes for the new CF update already have him looking better anyway.

They literally said that they designed Enkidu to be a beginner character though, so him being so easy isn't surprising.

Raven is balanced though. He still not Top Tier even despite the buffs he got in Xrd 2. He's only a problem if you have trouble dealing with his oki.

In nearly every game Grapplers are good pubstomlers but have to work hard as fuck to get in against people who actually play the game. Disrespecting grappler mains is scummy, they already get bullied all through bracket
