SWAT 5 when?
Remember that time a single snake blocked your path and you had to go into the fucking desert and get a tamborine to play it a song to make it fall asleep, instead of just going around the snake or stomping the shit out of it?
>>384677965
Remember that time a single snake blocked your path and you had to completely chance upon the never once before alluded to solution of throwing a magical horse bridle that you didn't know was magical on to the snake to transform it into a unicorn?
Five fierce guards of the isle we be!
Watch for a foreign man said he!
With ears and nose, tongue, hands, and eyes,
It's nature cannot be disguised.
If man it be, then man it dies!
>>384678157
Remember when a yeti attacked you and you had to beat it by throwing a pie in its face and at any point up to then you could have eaten the pie by interacting with it?
That wasn't a very smart move Graham.

>Alexander pulls out his Magic Map.
>>384678273
Remember that time when if you didn't pray to both the Christian and Pagan gods in your chapel, one or both of them would be assholes and have your castle gate drop right down on your head?
>>384678617
>do good action and spare his life
>thief immediately stabs you in the back
Wish more games did this where good option is without flaw or fault.
>>384678236
>By all that's beauteous, fair and sightly! Four morons do I sleep with nightly!
what did he mean by that? do they all sleep in the same bed?
>>384677925
I don't think anything will stack up.
There's far too much focus on fast paced run and gun games now.
Siege could've been, but nono
>>384678617
he dindu nuffin, that was an execution.
>>384678757
Meh, it can very easily feel like an edgy little "Gotcha!" and often spits in the face of logic or player agency. Like, hell, why would he just immediately turn his back on the thief? If I had control, agency, I'd strip the thief of his other possessions and I'd haul him to jail. When your morality option for Good results in you dying solely because the game takes control from you feels shitty and bad.

Did anyone else playViper Racingit was pretty shit in hindsight but 6yr old me loved it - especially fucking up with the deformity and hornballs
>>384679103
However this specific scenario is okay since you cannot actually die-- I think the chainmail isn't an item you can miss out on? Right?
3-D Ultra Minigolf was my shit back in the day.
>>384679264
No, Arthur puts it on in the very beginning of the game and never takes it off. That thief is also the very same asshole who steals your money purse earlier in the game. If you pursue him down the alley then, he gets away and you dead end yourself. You're supposed to just let him go, otherwise you miss the opportunity to talk to a guy who was just about the leave town on the main street (said guy gives you some spare change in the denominations used in Jerusalem).
>>384677572
Did anyone ever play Outpost 2? I love the shit out of that game only to find out later it got shit reviews and sold poorly.
>>384677572
How is Sierra situation nowadays?
Is it fucked by any bigger publisher/developer?
>>384680464
Nvm...
>>384680464
Sierra was destroyed back when Activision was still dominated by Vivendi.
After Activision bought its freedom from Vivendi and teamed up with Blizzard, they eventually revived a side studio called Sierra that has so far attempted to reboot the King's Quest series.
Best city builder of all time.
Imagine /v/'s reaction if Ecoquest was announced today.
Remember when you had to check if you were given the right item back, otherwise this wrong item would fuck you over a few hours later in the game.
>>384682592
Was that a bluff or could the game actually detect save scumming?
Remember when you were able to fuck hookers in games and in case you didn't use protection, you would get aids and shit and die a few minutes later?
this game was dope
>>384682682
the game actually detected it when you saved too many times while playing poker.
>>384680846
The King's Quest reboot is actually alright
>>384682937
wait, I was wrong about this.
It actually remembers how many times you restored a certain game state while playing poker. And when you did it a few times, it locked you out of the card game.
>>384683226
That's cool.
Remember blasting that crazy homeless guy in the lake over and over and over again while your brothers and cousins died laughing?
>>384677572
Why hasn't anyone posted this yet?
>>384683919
We waited for you.
>>384683069
no it wasn't. good first episode followed by putrid shit.
>>384678236
>Alexander sticks out his ass for the Gnome with the giant nose.
>>384684358
I never played this. I had The Incredible Toon Machine, which looking back, I feel was the superior game.
Remember that time when your space ship crashed and there was no way of knowing there was a piece of glass you had to pick up and you could just screw yourself and make the game unplayable if you don't pick it up?
>>384684784
I own both. And many more.
>>384685378
That box looks great. My copy was one of those free games that came with computers so I didn't know about that box.
>>384681293
It's great, but it shows its age thanks to several critical improvements shown in later games. E.g. separate commoner and noble housing plots.
For its time it's legendary, though. The atmosphere is incredible.
>>384685645
The things that were in it are also really nice.
I love those old classic Sierra Big Box releases.
>>384686106
Sorry for the shite quality. Retrying.
>Game mocks you for losing
>>384685896
Which one added different plots for nobles and commoners? I don't remember seeing that feature in Emperor, but i might just have a bad memory.
>>384677572
F
For UFO series
>>384688067
Zeus, I think.
>>384681293
>5 hours real time to build a pyramid
>the mission requires 3 of them
It still a fantastic game
Alexander takes a mint
Anyone play King's Quest V for NES? It's a very... economical port. Almost as impressive as those GBC first person shooters. It feels like a bootleg.
