It just makes me wish it were better. Hopefully it gets a remake that allows you to switch Kongs on-the-fly and redesigns puzzles and boss fights around said switching

Can someone explain why this game gets so much hate? I played it when I was a kid when it came out and I thought it was okay. The most common complaint I see is that it's a reskin of Banjo, but that's not really a bad thing.

People don't like the massive amount of collectibles, character-specific items (bananas,coins,etc), repetitiveness, level design, backtracking and minigames.
I don't have issues with those complains, even if I agree the overuse of slam/weapon/instrument pads and minigames were dumb.

I think it's pretty good. Definitely a collectathon for collectathon enthusiasts, though.
