This game was great. why is I hear so little about it?
Because it's only great the first time you play it. Zero replay-ability. It's not like Re4 where you can run through that game 6 times and still have fun on the 6th run.

Because it's shit. It's more a movie than a game where you consume it once and never bother a second time.
All of the previous RE games are actually fun and you can replay them many times over.

I played it about 4 times and I still love it. It may not be like 4 but its going for a more classic approach
1) many people assume it's just another meme horror game
2) some re fans can't deal with how much the series has changed with re7
>>384638283
Because it was fun for about 8 hours and that was it. Unlike Remake and 4 which are highly replayable and you can have fun each time.

How is it a movie? theirs like 4 to 5 cutscenes in the game and most last up to 2 mintues most of the time. and why does everyone forget madhouse? which changes up the game for the second run.

>but its going for a more classic approach
do you have a massive area to freely explore and solve puzzles in a non-linear order?
>>384638283
>you will never be Jack Baker
There is more to it then that. The enemies are usually recycled. The game started off very strong. After getting to the salt mine, it just feels rushed. The lack of bosses. It isn't a bad game but when I can beat a AAA title in under 8 hours. We got a fucking problem
>>384638907
Most of the old REs are pretty linear too. Remake is the only one that comes to mind of being mostly none linear.

Besides the final boss I enjoyed ever boss in the game. I agree the game could of used more monsters though. Also ever RE before 4 could be beat in under 8 hours too man.
>>384639324
>After getting to the salt mine
nigga that's the endgame, the main locations ended at the big ship.
>AAA title in under 8 hours
Most past RE's are known for being short and replayable games, RE7 almost feels too long in comparison. The only department RE7 dissapoints is in replayability.
>>384639559
That and it could of used more monsters.
Other then that I think its close to being as good as the old REs I love it despite the flaws.
>>384639787
>That and it could of used more monsters.
yup.
It would've been cool if mama Baker had had more children, like those old school families that had over 10 children, each of them with their own mutations and powers. They game would've been a boss run instead of those cheap gray fungus monsters.
>>384638283
the game was nothing special
>>384638283
it needs fun melee and guns that actully matter like condemned and less black goo enemies like in condemned 2
