I thought this game was very fun and i like seeing video game hipsters hate on it just for the sake of hating on it. ormuh storylike every other metal gear had great story telling.

I think it's evident that development hit some problems toward the end, but it's hard to say what and how much was missing. People using it as an excuse to continue their fantasies of the game are misguided, I think. The story in particular is probably a lot more finished than some people want to acknowledge.

I'm guessing it's because Kojimbo got fired near the end of it's development, and a lot of last second development changes fucked up a great portion of the game. How could a game in development for a shit load of years have such a rushed story? Fuck this game, and also fuck you OP for reminding me.

I'm playing it right now, it'spretty good, the AI reacts pretty well to the things around them and the game adapt pretty nicely against your playstyle (like giving enemies shotgun if you grab too many of them, or NVG if you work mostly at night), but the open world is way too big and empty, and you get often caught for some stupid shit like a guy on walker gear spotting from miles away.
Boss fights are weird like the skulls being pretty much regular teleporting soldiers with 6 bagillion HP or hide from massive machine that can't see past 10 meters.Also tits.
