I liked Dark Souls 2 but my favorite aspect of all the souls games was coop but the DS2 playerbase is pretty much completely gone now.

The DLC was the only thing about 2 that impressed me.
Those levels were better than anything in the base game, and I'm glad the team realized they needed to save the game as best as they could.

Nobody says any of this, except maybe the bit about the Ancient Dragon. DS3 is hated on constantly for linearity and "pandering."

Also the visual downgrade from BB to DS3 wasn't that big of a deal. The visual downgrade from DS2 was borderline criminal, not even SOTFS looks as good as the builds that were used at presentations.

DeS is easily the worst, it has total garbage bosses.

Same, I have beat DaSII several times with minimum possible ADP and I never use a shield.
It's more difficult, sure, but even with minimum ADP dodging bosses isn't too taxing.

You also level up far more quickly in DaSII so putting some points in ADP isn't the end of the world if you want more i-frames.
ADP is supposed to stop people pumping END exclusively and rolling around in heavy armour a la DaS1. You have to choose between END and ADP so you can't have both the heaviest armour in the game and the mobility and i-frames. I think it works pretty well, people just didn't like it because it took away something they took for granted in DaS even though it's a better system and ninja-flipping Havel's in DaS1 was ridiculous.

It has better bosses than DaS1. I like the puzzle bosses, they have some interesting variety and you have to prepare a bit before you fight them.
DaS1's bosses are universally defeated by getting behind them and staying there.
