man they got it right with this one. the gear system is a game changer. who would have thought playing dressup with DC characters would be so much fun then going online and showing off your spin on the character. they really know how to dangle the proverbial carrot on a stick in front of your face to keep you playing.

The game is just dull becuase 90% fights turn into zoning matches regardless of if I can counter them. It's not fun when you opponent is trying to sit full screen.

Also the combos are both wonky and child like easy.

You don't even know what a semi circle , or quarter circle is kid, and you're telling me to get good at a fighting game.

Teleports are super unsafe and pretty easy to punish. Not every character has them. Meter burn dash puts you full screen behind the opponent meaning you have to dash back into them before they react

I can understand with smash bros because it has more emphasis on knocking your opponent off the stage, and that the fighting is based more around 4 player combat with items that break the balance, but I guess fightingfags really don't base their genre off what games they do or don't like

Zoning is particularly bad in this one because of how many instant ranged attacks there are. Street fighter has slow projectiles while in this you blast people with lasers and guns that are almost effectively hitscan with how fast they are. It's not really zoning in the sense of screen control or forcing someone into a position you can compromise, it's just spamming damage from fullscreen on the game's ridiculously large maps that enable this behavior.
