I started a new character, a rogue and saw that rogues dont get sprint until around lvl 40. what the fuck? that is awful.
playing a rogue in current wow makes me feel like a uselss npc compared to my mage. I joiend battlegrounds and priests kill me about as easily as random npcs as well where as rogues dont do enough damage to be a threat to anyone. I literally hit my 5 combo point eviscerates for lower than a priests dot. Thats how bad it is. the whole game is whack at the lower lvls.
Wow used to be "fun" at all stages of the game but now the only thing blizzard even cares about is the last 10 levels.

A reskin is a literal reskinned texture. Nothing about the model is changed.

The model is the geometry. This is usually what gets changed, making the polygon count higher, adding details etc. Changing this is not "re-skinning" a model.

The skeleton is what sits under the model and what it is rigged to. This has all the animation data embedded in it. This is what blizzard re-uses a lot because they have fucking shit tons of already animated skeletons, and rigging a model is the hardest, most time consuming and least insteresting part of the job.

I guess it's in reference to the fact that a lot of Blizzards earlier games weren't completely original ideas.

Warcraft was a result of a failed licensing for a Warhammer game, so they ran with the idea and made it their own thing. Diablo might have been the same. Either that or the guy who tried to push the idea later joined Blizzard and they ran the idea.

It's a symptom of how badly they handled adding new content to the game. Everything below the current expansion is just considered a chore to get through as fast as possible.

To be fair, even though gw2 handles new content probably best in biz right now, they still had to provide a max level boost because mmo players are spergs.

Game design is just getting worse and worse.
The reason set bonuses on tier gear existed in earlier expansions was to change your class a bit without having to make class changes every raid tier, to take away from the monotonous rotations and make things slightly different each tier.
Now they are all just a proc requiring ZERO player interaction. They might as well just replace them all with +10% damage.
Every aspect of the class mechanics have been completely casualized and the skill cap hammered into the ground. Interesting talent mechanics replaced with passive damage.

Legendary items have filled that role. Set bonuses needed to be toned down a bit since people were already going to be using two (and possibly more later) Legendary items that change up their rotation.
