The final boss is a fucking bitch and a half depending on what game boy you played it on. I had the one where you couldn't do angles, just up, down, right, left. You'd have to run back and forth and time it perfectly to hit the weak spot and barely had enough time to pull it off

A good Nightmare fight takes about twenty seconds. It's only hard if you fuck up the rhythm. Same with SA-X, but you have more chances to fuck up. So I don't see your point.

I've never consider Yu Yevon the final boss since there's no way to fail, it was just meant to be a cool finale with the aeons. While Braska's Final Aeon can kick your ass.

Ridley wasn't hard. Time consuming sure because it flew around the map for hours. Omega Pirate was probably the hardest.
