is Doom 2016 worth getting in 2017?

I got it for free with my grafix card and it bored me.

Did the update affect singleplayer at all, or is it all multiplayer focused?

Not really but they FINALLY fusioned Single Player and Multiplayer so there's no loading between both, it highly reduced load times

Snapmap still needs to be loaded tho
