not really, the problem is people insist on forcing the scather meme on fighters

this make your pawn run away from the rest of the team, aggro a bunch of small monsters then die

leave scather for striders, fighters need utilitarian/challenger/mitigator and ZERO shield skills

as for warriors I never hire them

Fighters are just fine. Just because they don't shit out mad damage like the yellow vocations doesn't mean they're garbage.

People underestimate the power of knocking down enemies way too much.

Always bring a fighter. Having a swordnboard character whose role is purely to agro the big shitheads and block everything is exceptionally useful for every party. BBI just makes people nervous about Fighters because you also absolutely need some kind of mage or sorc to shit out cleanses and purifies, which lowers your overall party DPS a bit and bringing a tank lowers it even further.

This can be mitigated of course by being a fucking Assassin and shitting on every enemy solo while your party does nothing but agro and support you, but apparently some shitlords actually play non-Assassin sometimes.

BBI gear makes you pretty much immune to most status effects. You bring sorcs to BBI to melt the fucking garms with grand fulmination.
